I have been producing live music events since November 1997
in Rochester, Canandaigua, and Geneva, NY under the name GOLDSTAR Entertainment.
In April 1998, I created REVOLVING DOOR MUSIC GUIDE.
Known regionally as the “Jam Bible”, Revolving Door was the #1 source
for live music news and events in the northeast.
In August 1999 I moved to Buffalo and started booking weekly shows at Broadway Joe’s.
In August 2000 I moved to Syracuse and started booking weekly shows at The OPL, as well as larger events at Planet 505.
In 2004, with 2 young kids at home, I stepped away from the live music business completely, publishing the 63rd and final issue (until ’09).

In Dec 2007, with both kids in school, I created the UpstateLIVE on myspace as a statewide music network.
In May 2008, the first issue of UpstateLIVE Music Guide was published, and in Sept 2008 I booked my first show under the name “Herby One Presents”.
In 2009, I published 8 more issues of UpstateLIVE, and 3 summer issues of
Revolving Door highlighting the festival scene in the northeast and midwest.
In 2010, I held the first UPSTATE BOOGIE festival in Warsaw NY,
and soon after started booking a weekly series at Dubland Underground.
I also started Upstate Booking, working with House on a Spring and Subsoil.
In 2011, Upstate Boogie 2 was held in Marion NY, and Upstate Booking added The Buddhahood and T.A.O.
The Dubland series continued, and the year was capped by the annual UpstateLIVE holiday party
at Water Street Music Hall featuring Rubblebucket, The Buddhahood, and Aqueous.
In 2012, I started a weekly series at The Montage that will begin in March,
and plans are under way for the 3rd annual Upstate Boogie, the 1st annual
Upstate Fiddlers Picnic, and a new one day event that will take place near Syracuse.
